Chris grew up in East Hampton and has been a fixture in the Hamptons sports community since the 1980s. In the early 90s, Chris moved to New Zealand to pursue his love of rugby. He played for the U.S. Sevens team and other invitational sides in tournaments all over the world-including Fiji, Argentina, Bulgaria, and Venezuela.
Chris became a certified personal trainer through the American Council on Exercise in 2000.
In 2004, Chris founded Soldier Ride by riding his bicycle from Montauk to San Diego to raise awareness of the issues faced by wounded soldiers. In 2005, Chris rode cross country again – this time with two wounded soldiers. Both soldiers were amputees from the Iraq war. Soldier Ride raised millions of dollars and morphed into a powerful rehabilitative event that continues today. Chris has been recognized at the White House every year since by Presidents Bush, Obama, and Trump.
Chris and Elisa opened Railroad Avenue Fitness in 2006 and have enjoyed helping their wide range of clients stay fit ever since.
